Privacy from Altova XMLSpy: alternative needed!
Hello,
I just discovered that a (demo) version of Altova's XMLSpy broadcasts the web to find out if there are more programs working on it with the same license number. I am strongly against this. Not because of the license. But because everyone knows when I am working with Altova's XMLSpy. It does not respect my feeling of privacy. Although it is a beautiful program. Try the demo! So, I am looking for a linux program like that. The crux is this: I make a schema definition file (.xsd) for let us say a company. It has a few departments, persons who can be managers, addresses etc. I can represent that visually, like in UML. This visual represenation is converted to png format. Together with the definition files itself it can give a good documentation. The UML editors I know work for C++, Java etc. Anyone who can give me a hint how to get an XMLSpy-clone under Linux? Free software? it would be a worthy project for programmers and there is a need for this. with friendly greetings, PJHAMVS |
