Printing from Web Browser

I posted this question on the Mozilla forum several days ago, but have had no
response yet, and guess I don't expect any from there.

The issue is printing from a web browser, and having the text all on the page! I'm using Mozilla firefox at the moment, have used galeon, netscape and plain mozilla in the past.

Very often, (maybe usually), when I try to print from a website the printed output is truncated at the right margin. I seem unable to fix this by tinkering with page setup, printer setup, or anything I can find that I have control over.

The only way I've found to get web page text printed reliably is to use Lynx

Does anyone else have this problem?

Any suggestions?

I'm running Slackware 9.1, don't have (and don't want to have) either gnome or kde installed.

Best,

John Velman

I usually copy text into gedit or something- that way i don't print out all the extra pages and 'stuff' that I don't want to keep anyway.
I used to have this problem but I don't in galeon so I'm surprised you are.
The copy text thing worked better than fighting with mozzillla and it's very controllable.

I haven't tried galeon since I moved from RH9 to Slackware recently. I'll give it another try. I guess the real solution, especially when it is only the text I'm interested in, is the 'copy into an editor' solution.

Thanks,

I swited to krinter (MOzilla->File->Print->Properties->set Command to kprinter) that solved much of my printing issues. You can give it a shot.
