Try opening a web browser such as mozilla and in the search bar type http://localhost:631. This should bring you to the Cups configuration where you can add printers and do administration of your Cups print system. You will be able to set up your printer here using a driver provided by Cups if one is available. You will also find answers to some questions you may have in the documentation located here.

I am sorry I did not post a reply to your question erlier. Hopefully your question has been answered by now. But anyway, you should be able to click on the link http://localhost:631 while in linux and you should be taken to your computers cups program. In my last post I said search bar when i should have said address bar. I hope that helps.
