printer with lpd

I have a brother HL-2040 printer and a supplied driver for linux, but it uses the lpd system. I am running Fedora Core 3 and when I look in the services list it does not list the lpd demom. The drive, in rpm format, installed but said that there was an error because /etc/init.d/lpd did not exist. Where can I download it at and how do I configure it?

Thanks,

Noah
