Hi! I'm new to this OS, so i don't know how to configurate printer driver. I have Epson stylus photo r300, was looking for driver on the official site, but didn't find. do i need a driver, or i should configurate it somehow myself?
Thx

You will need a driver (or at least some sort of software to make your printer work).
I doubt you'll find anything on the official cd or site.
Have a look at http://www.linuxprinting.org/show_pr...lus_Photo_R300

Or, if you can't find it there, you could always get TurbotPrint. It was the only solution for me with the Canon i860. It does cost money though IF you want to get rid of an annoying logo on every sheet.

http://www.turboprint.de/

Some serious googling might work, too.

I'm sorry if I was not clear, the link I gave you states that the 300r printer does work on Linux with gimp print 5.0

if you would tell us which distro you're using, we could offer better help.

What distribution do you use? Get a gimp print package for your distribution.
