Hi, i have a printer shared on my fedora core 2 server using samba but whenever i try to print to it from windows i just get "Access denied, unable to connect" and if i try and print a test page i just get a lot of network activity but nothing ever comes even tho i can print from the server fine.

This could be considerd a cheap way out but a good way to get printing amongst a mixed win and linux network would be to buy a printserver box. I bought a COMP USA brand print server box (took a chance on a cheap store brand cause it was only 30$!!). This will let you take a regular usb or parallel printer and convert it to a CAT5 interface (basically). Now just configure CUPS to print to the IP (or host name) that the printer is located and configure windows to print to the network printer. It was great how it worked out. If you need more details on the configurations for this setup I can post em here.
