print PFL

Hi,

i havec a HP LaserJet 4050N attched to a redhat ES 4 machine.

when i use lp do printing for .txt file it print alright
but when print file format PFL the printing document is empty?

i wonder anyone can help?

I dont know that this might fix your issue, but I have a laserjet 1012 and many times, I get "unknown personality" and that's it, printed out on a piece of paper.

Well, I used to actually. I installed the hp printing software it took care of my problem 100%

I dont know if FC has that in their distro or not, but you may want to check into that.

The hp software is a sourceforge project, but there is a link to it from the HP download drivers page at HP site.
