ppp conection problems

Hi I know that this question was made 1 milion times, but can you help me out

I have a problem with 3com isdn pro-ta, when i connect with it under windows it work fine about 7.3 kb download rate, but when I connect under linux RH9 i have a poor connection sped abotu 2 ti 4 Kb. I conect it thru com1 port,.

If someone know the answer to this problem, please replay to mi.

Check your ppp.conf file to see what modem speed it is using, change to suit.

Hi

thanx for the direction to ppp.conf, but I cant find that file ... so if you can please help me out from this
I will be very happy .

ps i am very new at configuring dialup network

Try whereis, locate, or find ppp.conf. If you're using KDE I believe it's named kppp.conf
