Unhappy povray installation

Hi ! I'm new to Linux and I don't know anybody who knows how to use it properly. I have a problem with the installation of pov-ray. I'm using Linux mandrake 9.1 and i downloaded the pov-ray driver at the site of povray: or something like that, but I can't understand the installation readme file at all. They say I have to edit a file /src/obtout.h but I can't find it .I can't even find the "src" folder. Is it really important ? Then they say I must run ./configure in the folder of the file, but as I didn't find it, I can't. I tried to see if it wasn't an uninstalled package, but it doesn't look so. Please help me, and if you do, can you talk easily, cause I don't understand well english.

Long life to Linux.

Thanks for your help.
