PostgreSQL on SuSE9.1
 

hey.

Whatever I do trying to install the SuSEs' postgreSQL rpm on the CDs I can't seem to get it installed. It says it installed (in Yast, rpm -q, I see it in runlevel editor). But when I try to start it using runlevel editor it returnes an error message sying the program is not installed. :confused:

if I try to run the /etc/init.d/postgresql start it returns no errors but the server is still not running.

I compiled it from source. now it works. :scratch:
