postgresql build fails

Hi,
i have some difficulties compiling postgres-7.2.2 --with-java. build fails. i don't know how i can catch the error msg of gcc to post it here. 10 errors all in all. i use gcc 3.2, jakarta-ant1.5.
or does anyone have a nice little trick to get that working out of the box? would be great!
cheers, jens

i failed to build it with-java too
what i did was just build it without the option and
installed this
http://jdbc.postgresql.org/

by the way mine was 7.1.3

i can access postgresql from java
using org.postgresql.Driver

if that's what u want..
u might wanna try

A shot in the dark - do you have the JDK (as oppsed to the JRE or 'java runtime) installed?

the jdk is installed. the compiler complains about some deprecated versions and wrong defined variables and so on. thus it don't want to compile. it's a long message and i'll probably follow doubllefailure's way to avoid it. simply load the driver later. thanks a lot!
cheers, jens
