I'm trying to find the best way to setup a groupware server on a private network with a route to the Internet that has a dynamic IP address and blocks many server type services.
What I have so far is a Suse OpenExchange Server 4.0 running PostFix and Fetch mail on my local test network, this sends mail to a redhat 9.0 system running sendmail on the Internet on a dedicated server with a webmin interface. Postfix sends mail to localhost:5190
witch is a SSH wrapper that divers mail to the SendMail system on localhost:25 on the sendmail system. The SendMail server only accepts SMTP mail from the localhost and see the mail as it should on local port 25.
I can do a “telnet localhost 5190” from the Suse system get the SMTP prompt from the sendmail. Looking at log files everything looks like it is being accepted. But the mail never gets to any of the recipients. The domain I am trying to send mail for is a valid domain but hosted on a completely sperate server.
Any tips or thought would be greatly appreciated.
