I am running a Postfix e-mail server version 2.0.6. I can send and receive mail, and with Webmin I can check email. I need to setup a connection to the mail server so I can read the e-mail using a common mail tool such as outlook express or netscape.
I would like to setup a pop3 connection or some other simple connection to read mail from the server. Does anyone have suggestions as how this can be done. I have read a number of articles and docs and none of them seem to be very clear on this topic.
Well Postfix is a MTA and it can't be used as POP3 server. In that case you would require a server capable of the POP3/IMAP protocol - which is for instance dovecot or Cyrus or even Courier.
