Regarding your initial question 2, you can't do anything if your ISP blocks OUTGOING connections on port 25 since mailservers on the internet are using that. You would need a relayserver then which doesn't listen on port 25 ...
Firstly, thanks markus1982 for your quick reply. But I have few more questions about postfix mail server.
1.Is that mean no way out for my mail server if my ISP blocks port 25?
2.If I want to play this mail server as Home LAN,what configuration should I make?
3.There seems to be few of postfix tutorial which is easy,straight-forward.Would you recommend one for me if you have an easy tutorial for postfix mail server?
After I tried to figure out my postfix mail server last night,I have to admit that somehow I cannot set my mail server.
First of all,my ISP does block port 25.There's no way for me to receive my mail. Moreover,I have no clue about how to set up my mail server in my LAN (home network).Long long tutorial didn't solve my problems except keep reading and reading how to set up mail server with FQDN(Fully Quanlified Domain Name).I have and so what? They block my mail port!!
So,do you guys have any ideas? Please feel free and answer me.
DYNDNS has a mail relay service that will allow you to have their email server catch mail for your domain and then their server relays the email to port 2525 or what ever since most ISPs only block prots 1024 and below. The service is about 40 dollars a month. If you have a router you will need to forward port 2525 to port 25 and then add the internal IP of you mail server.
But..........I too cannot setup Postfix properly..........
