Postfix & Procmail Problem

I'm working on installing Postfix in a RedHat 8.0 box, and I'm getting the following message about procmail not able to deliver the mail...

Mar 27 19:24:27 ptlm-lnx-3 postfix/pickup[17157]: 4EBF493223: uid=0 from=<root>
Mar 27 19:24:27 ptlm-lnx-3 postfix/cleanup[17162]: 4EBF493223: message-id=<20030328002427.4EBF493223@ptlm-lnx-3.caymas.com>
Mar 27 19:24:27 ptlm-lnx-3 postfix/nqmgr[17158]: 4EBF493223: from=<root@caymas.com>, size=304, nrcpt=1 (queue active)
Mar 27 16:24:27 ptlm-lnx-3 postfix/local[17164]: 4EBF493223: to=<jdehnert@caymas.com>, relay=local, delay=0, status=bounced (can't create user out
put file. Command output: procmail: Couldn't create "/var/spool/mail/jdehnert" )

/var/spool/mail is owned by root.mail with permissions at 700.

procmail is owned by root.mail, but not setuid ( don't thing it should or needs to be )

Postfix seems to be trying to do the right thing, but procmail is having permission problems.

I'm missing something here, but I cant put my finger on it.

Change the permissions on /var/spool/mail, procmail currently does not have permission to write to it.

I figured it might be as much, but being new to postfix I wan't sure if there was a security issue I was overlooking.

Thanks, I'm working and onto the next steps.
