Post WINE install OpenGL(?) Problems
 

I just installed the most recent WINE release (I did not have WINE installed previously). I then installed Winamp (XMMS had been having problems, but it fixed itself... somehow.... So I don't need winamp anymore) and KazaaLite which I couldn't get to run.

After this, though, I tried to play RtCW:ET, the Linux version, which I had installed previously, and was working perfectly on the highest quality settings. But now it is very, very jumpy, even on the lowest quality settings, even on the main menu and in the intro.

I tried reinstalling it, because I assumed WINE might have modified ETs config, somehow. But it still ran the same. Then I tried reinstalling my video card (GeForce 3 Ti 200), but the problem remains.

I have since tried running Quake3 and America's Army, just to test them, and they also run the same. All three of these games run off of OpenGL (In Linux, at least).

My normal desktop applications (GAIM, MOZILLA, XMMS) run fine, so I am led to believe this is an OpenGL problem.

I didn't exactly know what to search for on google.com, but if someone here could help me out a little, be it telling me what might be wrong, or telling me what to search for on google, it would be greatly appreciated.

Is the "glx" option and others added in your XF86Config?

Yes, those are all as they should be.

EDIT: I'm not sure if this is clear, but all of these games worked perfectly previous to my install of WINE.

EDIT #2: On the other hand, perhaps this is not an OpenGL problem, as Tux Racer is working.

If Tux Racer worked then it dosn't sound like an OpenGL problem.. could you post any errors you get? That may help people to help you.

The odd thing is that I'm not presented with any errors.

Should I run it in a terminal and then copy/paste the entire log?
