POP3s Certificates

I have postfix setup finally and I'm using pop3s to get my mail because it is encrypted. I recieve a message that says that the certificate is expired blah blah blah. It works but I want to create a new certificate. I know how to create one but I was wondering where I place all the crt and other files. I don't know where pop looks to find the certificates.
