This machine is running dhcpd... Am I right to think nothing should be blocking here and that I need to examine my ports?

# iptables -L
Chain INPUT (policy ACCEPT)
target prot opt source destination

Chain FORWARD (policy DROP)
target prot opt source destination
ACCEPT all -- anywhere anywhere state RELATED,ESTABLISHED
ACCEPT all -- anywhere anywhere

Chain OUTPUT (policy ACCEPT)
target prot opt source destination

look like your scripts doesn't block anything, and your input and output is set to ACCEPT

Can you try 2 last questions then.....?


1. How do I open port 25, or will it be opened when/if I configure and run SMPT?

2. What does "Hit The Affero Button" mean?

iptables -A INPUT -p tcp -s 0/0 -d 0/0 --destination-port 25 -j ACCEPT
