Poker on Linux

Anybody get any type of online poker to work in Linux? I downloaded a few and tried to run them with wine but they crashed because I did not have a version of Internet Explorer. I used to play at ultimatebet.com and partypoker.com but now I can't.

Try some different browsers
Netscape
Opera
Konqueror

maybe they work.

No no no. The installation only works with Internet Explorer. When it installs it says "Internet Explorer can not be found" and crashes. I don't have the option of choosing a different browser.

Dare I install Internet Explorer?

Theoretically, pokerroom.com should work, since there is no download. However, I tried it and it failed. It just gives me the blank java app window (with the little cup of coffee). I am running RH 9.0 with the latest version of Java I could find (1.4.1_02).

I DL'd Blackdown Java and ran it. It gave me the license agreement, but did not appear to ever actually uncompress to anywhere. The .bin for it is sitting in my /usr directory.
