Poker

General question, has ANYONE managed to get ANY reputable poker site workign with linux using java, using WINE or anything.

By reputable I mean, vc poker, pacficpoker, partygaming, etc

I've found a lot of threads of ppl trying but none with an expanation how to.

I've tried the java version on pacficpoker but I get login failed everytime and tells me I need to download an update (for windows)

bet365.com worked fine for me. Didn't have to do anything unusual or anything, just downloaded and installed using wine.

ok, I've tried to have another go at getting a poker client working in linux. I installed wine and bet365 and everything seems to be fine but I cannot 'create a new user', instead I just get a blank grey screen.

Incidently I went in through XP and managed to create an account but when I logged back in through linux (wine) and try to deposit money, when I go to the bank I get the same grey screen.

Any ideas, oh I run ubuntu 6.06 Dapper Drake

win98
let window manager control = no
double buffer = no
use oss instead of alsa

i use it daily with no problems.

Do a google search for Linux Poker and the first listing is very helpful.

Bet365 is only compatible with WINE.
