Point me to the right driver

Hey everyone. Long time reader, first time poster.

Just wondering if any of you know any great driver web sites for the linux system.

Running RH 8.0 on my system and my video card (ATI all in wonder Pro 8mb) can't support Mozzila. Alot of the applications crash when they support to many graphics. Konqueror works fine, which explains why I'm here.

Also, it would seem my graphics problems are causing a conflict with my sound card. I either need to know how to disable sound permanently, or get this whole mess cleared up.

Windows XP can detect all these settings and the drivers are all up to date and archived with loads of different technology. So I have none of these problems on Windows XP. lolz, there IS problems with window XP because it sucks up all my RAM(128MB) and I can't run any applications, but that's just a scheme to get you to buy new hardware.

And I'm sure everybody would like to know where those really good Web Sites are for linux drivers. At the very least, tell me... then I know.

Thanks for reading

CJ

Before you try getting drivers for anything, upgrade your redhat! Move up to 9 if you can, or switch to another distro with a newer version, all your hardware is probably fully supported if you'd just upgrade.

Okay, I'll upgrade if you can tell me how to find the device numbers (0,0 or something) for my CDRW.

Then I can actually burn the iso files (the dd command syntax to burn cd's from the command line would be very helpful). Eventually I'll be on my way to RH 9.

for some reason the Gui CD burner programs aren't detecting an ISO file...
I've tried to burn the RH 9 CD's numerous times, I just end up with a CD with a *.iso file in it. Obviously this is not the desired result.

I was just asking for a driver web site.

So, don't burn them yourself. They cost a whole 99 cents a cd if you go to a distributing site that just mails you a burned copy from the isos...

Use google to find a nice place to order from, too many sites for me to sort through
