Talking Plugins for pop and click removal

Hi all,

I'm new to this site and I need some info. I am planning on building a Linux digital audio workstation using either Red Hat or SuSe and using Ecasound editing software. One of the projects that I have planned is restoring vinyl recordings. Does anyone know if there is a pop and click removal plugin for ecosound.

If not I was wondering if Wine would work with one of the Windows editing programs such as Sound Forge or ProTools?

Thanks for the help,

Jeff

Frank's Corner is a good place to start if you want to know what will work with WINE.

And here is a Google Search which may be of use to you. Remember: 2 very useful tools are Google and Google Linux.

Thanks XavierP, for your reply and assistance. I guess it's my turn to contribute!

Here is what I found:

www.linux.org has a primer called, "Getting Started with Linux", which is a very useful starting place for learning about commands, available software, etc. Within the document, the author mentions that there is a program called the gwc -- Gnome Wave Cleaner. I'm still working on my install which I'll start another thread on, but it does look current and promising.

I use gramofile. It's not a plugin and worse yet you use it from the command line but hey, it works.
