plrblem configuring LTSP server for local applications


hi friends ..
i am tying to enable local applications in k12ltsp
i am following the guide localapps<ltsp<twiki fromm ltsp website

according to the guide i have to run make command in the /var/yp folder to enable nis for the users

but when i run make command i get the following screen

[root@server yp]# make
gmake[1]: Entering directory `/var/yp/ltsp'
Updating netid.byname...
failed to send 'clear' to local ypserv: RPC: Unknown hostgmake[1]: Leaving directory `/var/yp/ltsp'



also
the following 2 files are not present on my ltsp server

1)/var/yp/securenets
2)/var/yp/ypservers

plz help..
