Unhappy Please Help Me, I need it very much....


I have installed linux redhat 7.1 on my laptop, i have switched on pcmcia in kernel... when deamons is loading the pcmcia is enabling, but when i want to call it comes message "sorry, not detected your modem", the modem is not installed... i want the driver of my pcmcia fax modem card... if anyone have plz help me...

the modem is: PCMCIA FAX MODEM CARD... SPEEDCOM+...

what are you calling it?


try this if you have it


rp3-config


click on the modems page tab

click add

click on Auto Configure

check make this modem the default modem

click ok

after this:

No Modem was found on your system.

You should be confirmed that your modem is correctly installed, and try again. you can explicitly set it here, but it is unlikly to work.
if you have a Windows (R) specific software modem, it is almost certeinly not supported.

Is your PCMCIA system working?

Try removing the card and re-inserting it. It should give you 2 high beeps. If it does not then the PCMCIA card system probably does not recognise the modem and you will need to upgrade it.
