How do I Burn an ISO image with BashBurn Software ? Please assist.
I use Damn Small Linux and can't find any documents relatring to its use. I copied the ISO to /tmp/burn and tried to burn, it didn't work. Then I also made a BashBurn.iso and tried to burn this to CD. This also failed.
are you using scsi emulation (or have scsi drives), or burning with ide drives (no scsi emulation) and is 0,1,0 the correct drive (according to cdrecord -scanbus)?
Here is what I used:
$sudo cdrecord dev=0,1,0 -data Speed=8 dsl-0.0.3.iso
It burned well. There were no error messages. The CD even booted properly, but X will not load.
On the Damn Small Linux site it says 9.2 is their latest software version. However at ibiblio.org I got just 9.3 md5sum was ok.
Wonder what can be wrong ?
This was solved. I burned another CD using the same command/iso, it burned/booted very well.
So, this proves that the previous CD Media that I used was defective.
Thanks everyone for all the info./assistance in this post.
