I am trying to get sound on flash applications to work when I am using skype. I get no sound from the flash application whilst skype is on a call, then not again after the call has ended. I am using the skype-rec script from sourceforge to record my skype conversations.

I would like to know if it is possible to record flash into skype (or any other way).
I have tried recording into audacity but get similar problems.


I am hoping to use soundboards with skype.

I have tried combinations of loading after skype has started, loading after call has started, fiddling with the "mix" setting on my soundcard, disabling/enabling kde sound system, using alsa and OSS in skype. I dont know what sound system flash uses, but I guess its not possible to mix it with other OSS applications.

I think the problem here is Skype. It grabs the sound system while you are on a call and doesn't share with anything else. There supposedly is a new version of Skype available that uses ALSA instead of OSS. Maybe that will be better behaved.

Yeah, I will keep trying, but using the alsa option mucks up my recording script!
