Play AAC files with XMMS?

Does anyone know what I can do to get this working. I've followed everything I've seen in other forums, but to no avail. Could someone provide a list of packages I have to install to get it working? I don't care about which audio player it uses.

I have no idea if you are using Mandrake, but if you are you can just download faad2-xmms by PLF.

ttp://rpm.pbone.net/index.php3/stat/4/idpl/1445347/com/faad2-xmms-2.0-6plf.i586.rpm.html

This is an AAC input plugin for xmms. AAC files are recognized by an
.aac extension.

Which AAC? The AAC used for iTunes or the AAC used by realnetworks. If it's the real version then just get realplayer for Linux.

Also if your looking at playing AAC iTunes files that you bought from the apple store they won't play in Linux at all because of the DRM (Digital Rights Managemen).

I'm running Fedora Core 3. Sorry about not mentioning it before.

It's iTunes AAC, but not DRM-protected. OH yeah, I forgot the RealPlayer can play AAC. Thank you for the help!

Oh...when I tried to play an AAC file, it wouldn't do a thing. Is there a reason, because I've been able to play this same file in RealyPlayer for Windows.
