Play a VCD with Kplayer

If i tell it to open url dvd://1 it plays dvd fine.If I tell it to open url vcd://1 nothing happens.Now I burned all my vcd's using nero when in windows.Curious if that should matter.See i have tried different programs and only one I get to play my vcd's is mplayer from the command line but if i try to play them with gmplayer get a vcd://2 error.Pulling my hair out so does anyone know why having all this trouble

i use kaffeine and i dont have any trouble with it

I don't have trouble now with any movie player I use now that I tried playing it from the cdrom.See been trying from the dvd drive and don't play but in the cdrom it does.I was using the dvd because that is how I did it in windows.
