Plan a task

Hi everybody! Excuse I'm french speaker,
I use Linux RedHat AS 3.0 in y web's server, i want
to plan a task so that i will run every monday.
please would you help me ?!!!

I belive that is controled by cron, a goolge search for cron will probable get you to a howto or two.

note that when you come to configure cron (it's quite easy). that monday will probably be day 1.

e.g

0 Sunday
1 Monday
2 Tuesday
3 Wednesday
4 Thursday
5 Friday
6 Saturday

Although i believe you can change this behaviour.

so say you want a job to run at 1pm on monday

crontab -e

0 13 * * 1 <your monday job>

hope that makes sense.

Thanks everybody, I'm not seiing well what to do. the think is i want my system to weekly send a mail to a client which has a known mail adresse.
i had configure sendmail. What exactly can I do?
