Hey all

I am having trouble with a pixelview playtv pro ultra card with a conexant 2388 series chip.

I am running sus8.2 and it is not detected by yast. I tried vairous modules with no luck. The only info I have found was a development driver for the chip but it wont even compile.

I am running kernel 2.4.20 - and I assume this is part of my problem.

Can anyone give me some advice here as my only alternative is to switch to THAT other OS for which I do have a driver - not my ideal situation as I already have everything setup for linux and I really hate the idea of having to migrate.

you'll need the new conexant driver from http://www.bytesex.org/cx88 i think it's in the 2.6 branch now, and possible 2.4.24 and later....

Thanks for the reply.

In the meantime I found out it was in 2.6 kernel. The driver that I got was from bytesex, and I had to much C$%p compiling it.

Anyway, I am downloading now and hopefully will be able to take it home with me before I leave (issues with bandwidth in South Africa).
