Pixelink POS Touchscreen
I'd like to get linux working on an old POS touchscreen device, Pixelink AFL-12B. I currently have Debian Stable (2.6.32-5-amd64 i686) running on the machine. Two problems at the moment:
1) Graphical environment doesn't display with any clarity (there is an attempt to display it, but colors and elements are unreadable and the screen cycles up and sideways when trying to display anything (including gdm). However, the environment does respond to keystrokes (I can login, but the display is still messed up).
2) Utilize the touchscreen functionality (once the GUI is working).
Linux seemingly doesn't recognize the touchscreen as a device, goes (visually) haywire when booting into a graphical environment normally (undecipherable vertical and horizontal scrolling lines for the gdm login and beyond), and the computer was apparently meant for Windows XP professional. Some output below. Would really appreciate your help to get it up and running (or simply find out that it's not possible).
My model # is "AFL-12B" -- but I was able to find this info if it makes sense to anyone else (seemingly just a smaller model): www.ivcdisplays.com/pdf/AFL-08A_datasheet.pdf
This was the next piece of info I was able to find on the web: http://www.ieiworld.com/product_grou...08544761892047 -- seemingly the website is old.
Any help very much appreciated!
This page should interest you....
Does that mean there is no way to do it? (Sorry, I don't fully understand what I'm looking at via that link.)
Thanks for your help!
