Question Pioneer DVR-108 not recognized by Linux

I have a Pioneer DVR-108 Dual Layer DVD-RW drive in my system. I'm running Fedora Core 3 and it doesn't recognize the drive. It has no problem with my Benq CD-RW. Is there a Linux driver that I need for this device or is there a way to get Linux to recognize it? I'm a newbie to Linux so any help would be appreciated.

My system is dual boot with WinXP HE/Linux and the drive works fine in Windows but I'd like to to get away from that MS crap.

Thanks,
Mike

Get the newest firmware from the NEC's website, then install it via window$. It should help you.
