PHP Software for my web site

Does anybody know of any good PHP powered software packages that I could use on my web site?

I am looking to re-vamp my family's personal site by adding a section with names, addresses, phone numbers etc., message boards, chat rooms, photo albums, and links. Maybe some more in the future. Maybe a personal instant messenger client.

Right now, I am using vBulletin and PhotoPost.

Any suggestions?
