php session problems

i've register two variables in session. those variables are taken from formular. i can retrieve them in the same script in which they were registered (but before i have to use global $var of course), but when i change script file (which belongs to the same session) passing the session id to it in URL, i cannot retrieve those registered variables anymore even when i use global $var. however session_is_registered($var) returns true! what is wrong?

i have enabled track vars during the source compilation, and turned register_globals on.

please help me.
