PHP + PostGre

i have used PHP with mysql and find they gel up very neatly...

i have come to know that postgre sql is much more robust and powerful than mysql.. and in fact mysql is an off-shoot of postgre .. so i m shifting bases.. but does PHP and postgre gel up as good as PHP and mysql..

please suggest and comment... any links for support of your discussion wil be most helpful....

Regards
Xing
