Hello ,
I have PHP 5.0.5 installed on my RHEL box , i installed it from a binary package and it works fine ,
but now i need to connect to ftp server via php which is not possible because i have no FTP support and i must recompile source with --enable-ftp flag .
For multiple reasons i cannot do this , so i wonder if there is any other solution ???????

Usually, RHEL packages have FTP enabled within PHP. Are you sure it is disabled? What output do you receive when you run this command?

php -i | grep FTP

I ran the PHP -i|grep FTP command and i got the following output:

Registered PHP Streams => php, file, http, ftp, compress.zlib


so it's enabled !!!!!!!!
but i still have a problem with FTP , any idea ????
