PHP/CGI as FTP client for localhost


i wonder if there are any CGI/PHP based programs out there so that people upload and mange their files on my server via a browser

Thanks 2 anyone who knows....!

I used to use a simple script called webhome. When I looked for a link I found what I think is a newer version:
http://www.cyberscript.net/products/easyhost_free/

I've never tried it but I would be interested to know what you think if you do try it.

hmmm couldnt get that working....

anyothers....

Or can someone help me get my FTP working!!!! (i have no idea what the probem is... iv tryed everything... i keep getting the 500 Illegal PORT command.
425 Use PORT or PASV first error)

It sounds as if you have a problem with your ftp client - what are you using?

This will not help you with ftp-ing into your server but when you get that working, I have used notFTP with success, it is a PHP based ftp client, you can find it on freshmeat.net, Just make sure you compiled ftp support into PHP which is real easy to do, just

./configure --with-ftp

I think that is it.
