I've found a lot of tarballs ... even php 5 from php.net. but i need the rpm so i can u[date my existong php-4.2.2 using rpm -Uvh. I can't do some of the wotks for this old versions. Please can any one tell me from where i can get them?? also the kernel-2.6 's rpm. I need that... but main is php...please....
Mishu~~
okk... where to find them... no prob with that... i need minimum php-4.3.x or any thing later.. even 5. but in rpm. and i need php, php-mysql, php-ladp, php-odbc .... where??
Do a search in the above sites for the packages you're interested and then select to d/l the one for your distro. Here are the results for php-mysql in rpmseek.com
Thanx a LOT.... Hope now i can manage.... Well, my friend. can you tell me which should i use for both security updates/patches and also for stability?? RH8, RH9, Fedora (?) ??
I cannot help you selecting from these distros since I never used one of them. The only thing I know is that all of them are stable and secure as long as you do regular updates. But for RH you have to pay a subscritpion (I think) to be able to use the updates. Fedora updates on the other hand are free.
