Photoshop type software

I have openSUSE13.2 KDE. I am looking to transfer a face from the body of one photo to the body of an other photo. Is there a Linux program that does what Adobe Photoshop does?

Thanks. I have Gimp and tried to take a face from one photo and put it on an other photo but I couldn't find no way to do it. Is there any documentation for Gimp on how to perform those kinds of image editing?

Check out Meet the Gimp. Its video tutorials are excellent. I imagine that what you need will be covered in one of the earlier ones. (I think you will probably end up using the "Select by Color" or the "Fuzzy Select" tool.)

If you don't mind spending a bit of money, The Book of GIMP is excellent. It's sitting right over there on my bookshelf.
