photoshop / macromedia suite?

Hi,
Can anyone tell me if Adobe Photoshop and Macromedia Flash / Fireworks MX will work under linux? I'm told they will work under wine - can anyone confirm or deny this, or point me to any HOWTOs? [I've had no experience with WINE]. Many thanks

http://appdb.winehq.com/ <-- check there, has user reviews of how well apps work with wine. i know if u cant get photoshop to work u can always use the gimp, its pretty similar.

Thanks a lot guys....unfortunately, it isn't as good as I thought, so I might have to run a machine on windoze just for these two apps :(

well regardless your going to need codeweavers to run photoshop 7 as it won't run in the regular version of wine....and as of flash, that does run in the regular version of wine, and there are also projects in development for linux to do flash projects.

I find that both work almost flawlessly in win4lin

hm...except for the fact that, being poor, I'm not willing to buy any software such as codeweavers or win4lin, but I've already got a copy of windows...It's a bummer really, but until I get some cash to spend on this, I'll just use windows

The $50 price tag of win4lin is a drop in the bucket compared to what you must've already dropped on pshop and dreamweaver... unless...
