PERL error 500 ---

Ok... just installing a CGI script, but have run into a lot of trouble. I've searched google for answers, but it seems there aren't any.

I'm installing a new file manager for my site, and have spent a fair bit on it. However, I'm pretty pissed off with it as it does not seem to be installing correctly.

There are 2 files - a .dat file, and another file colled install.cgi
They are both located at the same directory, and here's the link to the install file - http://www.musdev.net/cgi-bin/install.cgi

I have changed the CHMOD loads of times, uploaded using ASCII, altered the path to the PERL interpreter etc etc - no joy!

What on earth could be going wrong?

OK, I've also been here, for suEXEC, and this doesn't work either...

Well, what kind of error messages are showing?
Your threads name is pearl error, is there a problem with Perl?
Im slightly confused, but if there is a Perl error showing somewhere on your screen then maybe re-installtin Perl would be a good idea....

yeh, well I'm presuming it's perl as it's a perl script; however, apache's logs doesn't tell me much about what's up...

Yeah well it can be tricky but as I said, try re-installing perl..
But since I know almost nothing about this area maybe someone else can help you out...

Ok.. I've taken a look at reinstalling PERL, but it seems it would break another 71 packages on the system, so I'm not sure I really do want to reinstall it... any other suggestions?
