pengaol doesn't install the driver i need


No matter what I do pengaol doesn't install the modem driver I need! Has anybody experienced this before or have any ideas about what may be happening.

I have gotten Peng (was Pangaoll) to work. It is not a modem driver. Basically it a small interface to AOL that uses a working modem driver. Does your modem work otherwise?

I have not connected to the internet using it before but it seems to be working. Linux autodetects the modem and everything like that.

Can you go into kppp > setup > modem > query modem ?

Since you described the program as Pengaol I am wondering if you are using an older version. The developers have made an rpm of the latest version for Mandrake 9.1
