I have gotten Pegasus Mail working in Ubuntu 8.04-9.04 except for SSL.
Email accounts that require SSL I can't get to work.
I just installed WINE then Pmail (w32-451.exe).

Can anyone help with the SSL?

I notice on the Pegasus Mail project page that its future development is in question.

Depending on how attached you are to it, that may be a good reason to start looking at mail clients you can run natively on Linux. If this interests you, describe the features you need and perhaps others can give suggestions.

edit: BTW, read the author's open letter. It sheds some light on his situation, and whether you take my advice or not, you might choose to help him out.
