PC to PHONE

What 'free' linux applications' exists that allow you to use your PC/modem/speakers/microphone as a telephone. Note, I am not looking for Voice over IP, just a telephone emulator.

Thanks,

Robert.

Are you looking for something where you can set your PC up to dial out using a standard modem to a voice line (call up your mates?) and use your headphones/mic to talk to them?

I'm sorry, but I have no suggestions, I just wanted to clarify your needs (and I'd also be keen to know of anything that lets you pass sound information from a soundcard to a modem, if possible).
