Unhappy pb with x-linux

Hi, I've got a big problem with x-linux.
I downloaded it in ghost format and I installed it.
but all files are in readable format only and I can't modify any configurate files.
I've got one flash disk and it's recognised on hdb (I had to modify it in syslinux.cfg overselse linux didn't run). But when I try to make files in read/write mode with mount , it goes in file fstab and mount on hda (with mount -a)
Or if I try mount -t msdos /dev/hdb1 /mnt, it works, but not with mount -t ext2 /dev/hdb2 /mnt : it says taht the device or resource is busy.
Is anyone can help me, please !!!!!!
