Partitioning LVM

Hi there

I have CentOS5 on a 320gb HD I now want to partition this drive so to install a windows server and make it dual boot. I have tried to use GParted but that doesnt recognise the partition I want to split.
The partition to split is a LV... I found articles that say tat you cannot resize a LV because the function hasnt been implemented yet, but those articles tend to be years old.

Anyone knows of up to date docs and of course any other way to split this partition..
Thanks in advance.

gparted won't do it - you'll probably have to do it by hand. See the lvm how-to at tldp.org

Thanks for that. I am now trying to use resize2fs... I have one dilemma... I only have one big partition + /boot
So when I try umount nothing happens. I have tried to switch to /boot and run the commands from there but it complains that is online and cannot perform the shrink.
Why can I not unmount it? /boot should be ok to work from no ??
Am I know forced to do this from a live cd of some sort? :S

Yes to the last question - Knoppix has LVM these days if you need any of those utilities.
