Partition recovery software

I have a TrueCrypt encrypted disk which I managed to accidentally partition and format when doing a clean install of Kubuntu 8.10

Is there any software that will allow me to recover the encrypted contents as it was before it was formatted (assuming I have another hard drive of the same make and model to restore to)?

I have always feared that something like that would happen to me... here some links I found/saved over the time I've been using Truecrypt.

http://www.truecrypt.org/faq.php

Good luck let me know if you find a solution. Also everything I've read about the tools that claim to recover files don't always work and sometimes limited in what they can actually recover...

Time to go back up my keys, password database, etc...

Piece Of Software, or?

It is nice to hear that you have had good results with this "Stellar Phoenix Linux Data Recovery". I'm asking this because there's more LQ members who go around making plain "it works" posts withour ever going into details. So. Can you back that claim up with details? You see, some people have had no results (1, 2) or bad experiences with this "Stellar Phoenix Linux Data Recovery" Piece Of Software. Also here's a comparison of results, do notice the "Stellar Phoenix Linux Data Recovery" vs Photorec part.
