Parallels and /dev/rtc error
I get the following error when starting Parallels Workstation 2.2:
Parallels Workstation encountered a problem with the /dev/rtc device. This may be caused by one of the following reasons: (1) you do not have proper system permissions, (2) the device is not found in your host PC, (3) the device is used by another process. The absence of /dev/rtc device may downgrade VM performance and make internal timers slow.
It is running under Mandriva 2007. Everything seems to run fine, even with the error, but I may be taking a performance hit. Permissions for my /dev/rtc are:
-rw-rw-rw- root root
I try to cat /dev/rtc and get:
[falcon56215@localhost ~]$ cat /dev/rtc
cat: /dev/rtc: Device or resource busy
Also:
[root@localhost falcon56215]# hwclock --show
Sun 26 Nov 2006 06:51:34 AM EST -0.943515 seconds
Anyone have any ideas?
