Question panel size in gnome


hi,

is there a way to change the panel size (the % it covers across the screen) in gnome just like in kde?

Most of the time you can right click on the panel and choose from the menu to go into the panel settings, etc.

yup, that's the way how things go in kde, but not in gnome however... is there really a way to do it in gnome?

Add a new floating/sliding panel and delete the existing panel.(of course you'll need to add your favourite launchers to the panel)
I don't think you can configure the width of the panel per se.
