Panel launchers disappearing

I put some launchers on my top panel with icons that i have located in /home/joe/icons, the launcher commands are to open webpages. One of there commands for example is firefox facebook.com
whenever i restart my computer they disappear off my panel

Is there a setting for saving sessions automatically in your preferences menu ?
Does it do it even if you only log out ?
